The FDx team has expertise in developing analytical technologies focused on clinical applications of mass spectrometry. FDx has complementary core skills in business development, life science management, and product development, and advisors with experience in the translation of technology to the clinical laboratory and regulatory experience.

Jeremy L. Norris, Ph. D. 

Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Norris is the Managing Director of The National Resource for Imaging Mass Spectrometry and Research Associate Professor in the Departments of Biochemistry and Chemistry at Vanderbilt. He also serves as Chief Scientific Officer of Vulcan Analytical, a premier provider of software solutions for proteomics and mass spectrometry. Prior to 2011, Dr. Norris served as Vice President of Research and Development, Protein Discovery, Inc. (now Expedeon, Ltd.), where he managed a contract research proteomics business with core competency in Imaging Mass Spectrometry and developed multiple instrument and reagent products for protein research and mass spectrometry.

Richard M. Caprioli, Ph. D. 

Co-founder & Chief Science Officer

Dr. Caprioli is the Stanford Moore Chair in Biochemistry and Director of the Mass Spectrometry Research Center at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He is also currently Professor in the Departments of Chemistry, Medicine and Pharmacology at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Caprioli is the primary inventor of and world’s foremost authority on Imaging Mass Spectrometry and the application of this technology to clinical problems.
